A busy busy weekend as we welcomed El's mom and stepdad to town from England. they're staying for a few weeks. we wasted no time and got to work in the backyard.

Jasmine made a runner for the door and got out back. Then she rolled around and covered herself in crap. great. luckily, she sleeps on Ellie's side of the bed, so i won't have dry grass and dirt on my pillow

Once we got the cats back inside, it was time to rip up the old fencing in the backyard. Breaking stuff is oodles of fun.

While she was in Mexico, ellie got me a new hammock. One problem, there's no where to hang it in our backyard. So, we had to put a pole in the yard. Peter and I were the "lucky" ones who got to dig a hole for the pole to hold the hammock. Yeah, this is JUST as much fun as it looks.

We let ellie test the hammock, just to be sure the pole was in the ground securely. apparently, it was. whew.

After all that digging, i was sweating like a panda bear in the desert. So it's time to kick back and relax in the new hammock! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
